The name Ama Kara Pin derives from the three flavors associated with this sake, Amai (Sweet), Kara (Spicy), Pin (The aftertaste of a balanced sake)!

This sake is packaged in a bottle that resembles the traditional hollowed out gourd carried by Totomo Hideyoshi during Japan’s feudal age. When poured, the bottle makes a gulping sound that fills the room with delight. This sake is crisp, refreshing, and pairs well with any meal. Its nickname, Namacho is an abbreviation of its longer Japanese name Honjozo Namachoso-shu Hyotan.
